We're here
Here when you need it.
If something's not working, or you just have a question — we read every message, usually within a day.
- How does Nagi work?
- You choose a guide — ten are available, each with a different tone and approach — then tap record and speak whatever's on your mind. Your guide listens and asks one follow-up question to draw you deeper. At the end, Nagi returns a composed reflection of your own thinking. Nothing to write. No blank page.
- Which guide should I start with?
- The Zen Monk is the most common starting point — calm, unhurried, and good for anxiety or overwhelm. The Objective Mirror is good if you want pure reflection without any steering. Try a few and see which voice feels right for you. You can switch guides mid-entry if you want a different angle.
- Is Nagi free?
- Nagi is currently in early access. Founding Members get first access when we launch, with founder pricing locked in. You can also join the waitlist and we'll reach out when Nagi is open to everyone.
- What devices does Nagi work on?
- Nagi is available on iOS and Android. We don't have a web version yet.
- Does Nagi work offline?
- An internet connection is required to generate reflections, since we use AI to process your voice. The app itself loads offline, but recording and receiving reflections requires connectivity.
- My transcription isn't accurate — what can I do?
- Speak a little more slowly and clearly than you might in normal conversation, and make sure the microphone isn't covered. Background noise can affect accuracy. If issues persist, email us at hi@getnagi.app and we'll take a look.
- Can I type instead of speaking?
- Not currently — Nagi is designed around voice as the primary input. We know this isn't right for every situation. If it matters to you, let us know at hi@getnagi.app and it'll go on the list.
- How long can a recording be?
- There's no hard limit, but most reflections work well in two to five minutes. Longer recordings are fine — the guide will still find the thread that matters most.
- Where is my journal stored?
- On your device only. Your journal entries never leave your phone — we genuinely can't read them, and there's no server copy. Uninstalling the app removes them.
- Can Nagi read my journal entries?
- No. Your entries are stored on your device only. We have no access to them and no means of accessing them. This is by design, not policy.
- Does Nagi train AI models on my data?
- No. We have a data processing agreement with Anthropic (our AI provider) that explicitly prohibits using your data to train models. Your words don't improve anyone's AI.
- What happens to my voice when I record?
- Your audio is sent to our server only to generate your reflection. Nagi does not store your audio. Our AI processor (Anthropic) generates your reflection and does not retain your audio beyond the session. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
- What's the difference between the guides?
- Each guide has a different tone, questioning style, and area of focus. The Zen Monk is still and present. The Stoic Sage is rational and steady. The Nurturing Mum is warm and unconditional. The Challenging Best-Friend will name the thing you're avoiding. You can see all ten on the homepage.
- Can I switch guides mid-entry?
- Yes. You can switch at any point during a session. Sometimes a different perspective is exactly what you need halfway through.
- Which guide is best for anxiety?
- The Zen Monk or the Nurturing Mum tend to work well for anxiety — both prioritise safety and presence over challenge. The Well-Read Friend is good if you want a more CBT-adjacent angle. Try speaking your worry to a couple and see which reflection lands.
- I signed up — what happens next?
- If you signed up as a Founding Member, you'll get first access when we launch, along with an email before we go live. If you joined the waitlist, we'll reach out when Nagi is open to everyone.
- What do Founding Members get?
- First access when Nagi launches. Founder pricing locked in permanently. And a say in what we build — Founding Members get a direct line to us as we develop the app.
- How do I delete my account?
- Email us at hi@getnagi.app with the subject line "Delete my account" and we'll remove everything within 30 days. This includes your email address and any associated data. Your journal entries are stored on-device only, so uninstalling the app removes those.
